Yep, it’s official. Emz is spam and ‘not human’…
Huh?.. Yeah, let me explain…
So, I’ve had an account with Last.fm since June 2005 but haven’t really done anything with it because the most interest I’ve had with it is just seeing the stats about my music listening.
Once in a while I take a peek at my profile just to see what’s going on with it and I happened to take a look today and found people commenting on my profile page saying I was spam and not a human!
What what what???
Excuuuuuse me?
Well according to users my stats don’t reflect a real person! Huh.
Ok yes, my music is on most of the time, and I get obsessive about bands to the point I only listen to them (and no one else) for a couple of weeks but that’s my stoopid music taste! We all have our own tastes, mine just happens to be really stoopid!
Plus, my music is on constantly because I live in a noisey area and I’m not the only one that needs some other noise in the house.
But males being the stoopid beings they are, have obviously been offended that I’ve taken the top listeners title from them or something…
I honestly never knew I could cause so much tinkling in so many balls! I’m impressed! (But also entirely disgusted).
Mari has recently done an entry on Internet Fighting but I might have to break the rules for this situation. This isn’t a fight about some political poop and to see who’s manly-bits is bigger - no, this is a fight about moi and my existence! Well, sort of.
So I commented back to everyone that had been stoopid enough to stay I was spam and literally said ‘I’m supposedly spam so can’t leave a real comment!’. One guy replied wondering what I was on about and when I explained he said:
i didnt want to be mean. but it is a huge number

The only other guy to get back to me has deleted my comment from his page and simply said ‘RODGER THAT’ in reply. I don’t think I need to write what I think of said guy.
I also made a journal entry to explain my stoopid stats, but no one has said anything (yet).
I just cannot believe that people have the time and energy to say I’m spam and someone trying to get attention! I mean what are these people, wait no, MEN thinking? Really? It just makes me think that they are the ones after the attention!
What? Do they feel inferior to an eighteen year old girl or something? Am I a threat to their supercoolultramacho stats or something?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Why do men have to be like this?! Although…
This is the second time I’ve actually felt a punch of nastiness on the internet (excluding the time a 19 year old sent a VERY rude sausage picture to me, of only 9 years old!).
The first I ended up in a conversation on a girl’s LiveJournal and she happened to say how much she loved and missed her girlfriend (she was a lesbian, by the name Katie, or KT I believe). I was fourteen, hyper and crazy and must have been too bouncy. I made some comment about how cute I thought her relationship was with another girl and she took it the entire wrong way and told me to
get the f**k off the internet and stop bugging my LJ! NO ONE LIKES YOU!!! PISS OFF!
Yeah, I was a little shocked but left it at that. I happened to comment on her girlfriend’s LJ (who I strangely remember was called Mari I think… hmm) and after saying something more serious she didn’t seem to think I was so bad, and not so ’squirrely’.
So I guess men aren’t the only poops on the Internet. But I would say they make up 99.9999…..% of the poops!
So, ladies and gentlemen, there you have it. Emz is spam. Emz isn’t human. Emz is an attention seeker. Emz doesn’t have a big enough manly-bit for the internet and so should go disappear…

Emz likes the internet. Emz LOVES the internet. But Emz is rapidly wishing the manly-bit population of internet users to go get eaten by some poofy lions.
And to not have lesbians attacking her. Emz isn’t good at fighting, and doesn’t wish to be!

Wow, they got pissy with you because you had a higher play count then them. O.O That is so sad and they’re so pathetic. XD I just made a last.fm account, now it’ll be interesting to see what my stats look like after a day!
I don’t even let internet stuff get to me anymore, or rather I try not to. I swear there are some who just seem to thrive on causing e-drama.

And to what Joana said, there are quite a few who thrive on being “firestarters”. Mari generally stays far away from and ignores these people.
So because you don’t have the stats that should be “humanlike” automatically they think your a spam?! WTF! That’s a little odd. Well, people can think what they want, but you seem very real to me. I wanted to try and make an fm account, maybe I will, just to see what it’s like and what others say. Some people just like to start things, don’t let it get to you, you know who you are. Take care.

Amazing… I would never have thought of another user as a spam…. most definitely some hating that’s going on! However… I wonder, is that the best that they can do with their time??

ha ha… wow I never realized how pathetic people can be! Leaving comments about that. I understand how listening to one band over and over again, I do it all the time. I get stuck and obsessive over a band/song and feel the need to listen to it for about 73,298,433 times. It’s perfectly normal and you shouldn’t be called a “spam” because of it.

I guess they were jelous of you being a top fan, playing that much music. Some people are really weird when it comes to music. Competative. People that try to impress others with their knowledge of music and the sheer number of how much music they listen to. Why do they even bother writing to you if they thought you were a spam? So stupid.
You do have a VERY impressive number of tracks played. Like REALLY impressive. And I thought I played a lot of music!
Sorry I confused you - I used the word “metal” in that blog entry as an adjective, as in “that’s so fucking metal!” which is similar to “gnarly”, “hardcore” and “badass”
Although the playlist on my radio is quite eclectic, a lot of the bands are indeed a form of metal, be it metalcore, grindcore, thrash, noise, spazzcore or mathcore. Metal is an umbrella genre, much like Rock or Jazz… just so many sub-genres underneath it, all branching out. Hope that didn’t sound condescending of me - I know that you know there are many forms of music 
This is one long entry, girl! I didn’t understand the spam thing since I skimmed some parts, but i can tell you this with absolute certainty: People are assholes.
They get angry over everything, and pick fights over everything, simply because they LOVE it. I’d say 80% of the internet population is mentally unstable. Not to say that more “crazies” have an internet connection, just that people suppress their craziness in “reality” and then feel free to overreact to bullshit on the web. It’s like the Wild West I suppose. People just door say whatever the fuck they want with no consideration for other people’s feelings or situation.
Question: Is “stoopid” the correct spelling of “stupid” in British English? Or is that just slang/net speak? I don’t think I’ve ever seen it spelled like that!
