Yes, I am now planning to add TLAs to my site. Oh deary…
After much thought since this post and discussion with others, I have come to the conclusion that any money that can be freshly squeezed out of this site is a good thing.
Provided it’s in a moderated and no way completely thoughtless approach.
Why is it a good thing? Well…
- I’m freshly squeezed out of money myself after paying rent, and affording to eat food.
- Monetizing my site doesn’t have to be a bad thing. At all. If I do it right.
- I’m planning to go to university next year. I need all the money I can get my small cold hands on, to reduce the trail of debt that will be following me afterward.
So it seems to make sense opening this site up into the big bad world of money making.
I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t feel it necessary, but I don’t like the thought of �15,000 (at least) leaving a dark mark on my name.
I need to do whatever I can to get my arse to University. I have to get myself there. You don’t know what it will mean to me if I don’t.
I just ask you don’t think anything less of me, for trying to achieve one of the most important dreams of mine.
If my site can be a step towards getting me there, then I have to firmly set my feet upon it.
Don’t you think?…
Now, let’s see what TLA does for me in the next coming weeks or so.
And let’s hope, it does help towards university.

Mari has had their ad widget up for a week and not a single taker or notification email. Apparently Mari’s site is so sucky that it can’t even be advertising fodder.

I know! I’ve had the plugin code up, but no interest whatsoever! It’s rather frustrating because I don’t see how I’m ever going to get any ads!
